Key Programmes

Engaging the mass

Mother Tongue Language (MTL) Fortnight

During the MTL Fortnight 2020, students took part in various activities in class to understand and appreciate the uniqueness of their own mother tongue language and culture. These activities aim to provide the exposure and experience to pique the student’s interest and be inquisitive learners. Students are given opportunities to take part in hands-on activities and share their learning with their teachers and friends using their mother tongue language confidently.

Enabling budding learners

Mother Tongue Support Programme (MTSP)

Malay Department has embarked on the Mother Tongue Support Programme (MTSP) since 2020. The programme aims to provide additional support for Primary 3 and Primary 4 students in the learning of Mother Tongue Language (MTL).

MTSP lessons are specifically designed to be more interactive and engaging to instil joy of learning. Bite-sized teaching resources are used to build a strong foundation in the pupil’s oral and literacy skills to bridge some learning gaps.
